Join us for dinner as we announce the winners of this year’s Shortsfest in the following categories: Best Animation ($2,500 Oscar-qualifying category), Best Comedy ($2,500 Oscar-qualifying category), Best Drama ($2,500 Oscar-qualifying category), Best Short Short ($1,000 Oscar-qualifying category), Best Documentary ($2,500), Best Student Film ($1,000). In addition, our Youth Jury determines the Youth Jury Award ($500) and Shorstfest’s audiences determine the winners of the Audience Award ($500) and the Audience Special Recognition.
The Ellen Award ($2500), named for Aspen Film’s founder and former Executive Director, Ellen Kohner Hunt, originated from an endowment raised by the community to annually award a film that embodies the spirit of Aspen Film’s programming from 1976 to 1995.
