Miranda Bailey is an award-winning writer, director and actress. Her directorial debut GREENLIT premiered at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival to critical acclaim and was acquired by IFC International. For her second documentary, THE PATHOLOGICAL OPTIMIST, Bailey spent seven years following controversial figure Dr. Andrew Wakefield, who laid claim to vaccines creating autism in children.
Bailey’s directorial narrative feature debut BEING FRANK premiered in the at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival and was theatrically released in June 2019. Bailey wrote and directed the award-winning short, ANOTHER HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. She has also appeared in several feature-length films, most notably the Independent Spirit Award-winner THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL, HBO’s THE OH IN OHIO, DON’T THINK TWICE, and NORMAN.
