Aspen Film is proud to present its 43rd Filmfest! This festival will showcase top filmmaking from across the globe from September 27-October 2, 2022, taking place at Aspen’s Wheeler Opera House and Isis Theatre, and the Crystal Theatre in Carbondale.

Hello and welcome to our 43rd edition of Aspen Filmfest!
We’re thrilled to gather with you to celebrate some of the best cinema from around the globe.
As I looked at the films that are debuting this fall and winter season, I was blown away by the unbelievable stories about human nature, and the ways in which people put the past behind them and move forward, becoming stronger in the process.
We are fortunate to have curated this selection of films for Filmfest this year, ranging from an anthropomorphic rover which embeds itself in our hearts like a friend, to the bravest defenders of equality and justice. Our films examine the notion of family; test the bonds of friendship and teach us what it means to be loyal – to oneself, to others, to a cause; and confront us with the importance of self care and mental health.
Our selections take us from South Korea, to deep in the Southern US, to Latin America, the Emerald Isle, and to Mars, once again emphasizing that no matter who we are or where we come from, human nature is similar, and that friendship in any form is valuable.
Be ready to laugh, cry, get frustrated, be inspired, and experience something new – we promise that you will leave transformed no matter which film you see. This is the magic of the movies.

How To Fest
SPECIAL NEEDS
If you have special needs covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act, please notify Aspen Film at 970.925-6882 or info@aspenfilm.org. Requests for ADA accommodations must be placed 14 days or more prior to the Festival start date, to allow staff the time needed to coordinate. We will do our best to honor requests after the deadline, however services cannot be guaranteed.

PATRON PASS
Provided to Aspen Film Auteur + Visionary + Benefactor Level Members; includes entry to all Aspen Film festivals, year-round membership and guaranteed reserved, bannered seats for all Wheeler Opera House screenings.
PRIORITY PASS
Available to Aspen Film Star + Producer + Storyteller Level Members; includes a year-round membership. Stars receive access to a reserved seating section for all Wheeler Opera House screenings. Producers + Storytellers receive access to the best available seating 30 minutes before showtime.
FESTIVAL PASS
Available exclusively thru aspenfilm.org, Festival Passes include access to screenings and select events (no membership included).

All Passes Must be collected in-person from the Wheeler Opera House Box Office after 12 PM on September 23rd.
If you have a Pass for Filmfest and wish to attend screening(s) in Carbondale, please notify Aspen Film no less than 24 hours in advance to secure your seat(s). Due to limited seating in the venue, we cannot guarantee your seat unless you contact us prior.
