LOST HIGHWAY is a 1997 film directed by David Lynch that delves into a mind-bending world of identity and reality. The story follows jazz saxophonist Fred Madison (Bill Pullman), who is accused of murdering his wife, Renee (Patricia Arquette), after receiving mysterious videotapes showing someone filming inside their home. While on death row, Fred inexplicably transforms into a young mechanic named Pete Dayton (Balthazar Getty), whose life becomes entangled with a gangster’s girlfriend—also played by Arquette.

Blurring the lines between fantasy and nightmare, Lost Highway is a surreal noir that explores themes of memory, guilt, and the fluidity of identity.
