EVERY LITTLE THING follows the remarkable story of a woman who, in dedicating herself to saving injured or troubled hummingbirds, unveils a parable about the fragility and resilience inherent in all of us.

Sally Aitken is an Emmy® nominated director, writer, and Showrunner of multiple international series. Known for visually arresting work characterized by sensitivity and humor, she relishes unknown stories and the world’s complexities. Her formidable directing slate includes some of the most talked about and highest-rating screen content for broadcasters around the globe, delivering both theatrical feature documentaries and hours of original programming to Amazon Studios, Disney+, BBC, ABC, PBS, Nat Geo, SBS, C4, Channel7, CBC, Foxtel, Discovery, the History Channel, ZDF, Arte, and TVNZ.

Sally’s previous work spans genres but always gravitates toward emotional narratives. EVERY LITTLE THING is her second film to play in competition at the Sundance Film Festival after delighting audiences with the 2021 Sundance Film Festival hit, PLAYING WITH SHARKS (Disney+).

Phebe Meyers | Community Programs Director, ACES

As the Community Programs Director, Phebe connects people of all ages to places. Born and raised in the hills of Bridgewater, VT, nestled among ferns, hardwoods, and fresh produce, working in and building a community around stewarding the natural environment was the lifestyle.

After graduating from Middlebury College with an Environmental Studies & Geography degree, Phebe worked at a community-based non-profit in Vermont, supporting their Valley Quest and region-wide Renewable Energy programs.

After a year, she migrated south to Monteverde, Costa Rica, where she worked with biologists and taught students the value of maps and how to visualize data spatially while exploring the flora and fauna of the cloud forest. Her love for distinct seasons took over, and Phebe migrated north to the Rockies with her life partner and joined the ACES family in 2013 as a Winter Naturalist.

During her decade-long journey at ACES, she has worn multiple hats, including Summer Educator and Senior Educator at Basalt Elementary School.

Rebecca Weiss | Guide, ACES Birding Program

Rebecca Weiss was introduced to the appreciation of birds at an early age by her father, Myrl Lemburg, who has always enjoyed building nest boxes and sharing his love for birds with others. Rebecca came to Aspen in 1993 as an intern for the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies and later coordinated the Naturalist Field School. She currently guides for ACES’ Birding Program, consults and writes for natural history interpretation projects, and enjoys birding and exploring nature with her husband and their two children.
