BLUE VELVET is a 1986 American neo-noir written and directed by David Lynch that unravels the dark underbelly of small-town America.
When college student Jeffrey Beaumont (Kyle MacLachlan) discovers a severed ear in a field, his curiosity leads him into a twisted world of crime and corruption. Teaming up with Sandy (Laura Dern), the daughter of a local detective, Jeffrey investigates and becomes entangled with nightclub singer Dorothy Vallens (Isabella Rossellini), who is trapped in a dangerous relationship with the sadistic Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper).
Blending mystery, suspense, and surrealism, BLUE VELVET explores the disturbing secrets lurking beneath suburban innocence.
