In 1992, a combination of drought, power outages, and escalating violence took a heavy toll on the nation of Colombia. “Bogotá Story” follows a young couple, living in the capital city, who must navigate their personal struggles and take care of their infant in the midst of their country’s overlapping crises. When the woman finds out that she has been offered an opportunity she’s long been dreaming of, she’s faced with a choice under a tight deadline—and telling her husband about the opportunity throws their relationship into turmoil. Ultimately, the couple must choose what kind of future they want to pursue and decide what their relationship will be to their family, their home, and each other.
