Membership + Development Manager (full-time)


Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of Aspen Film’s Membership Program and Donor Operations. In addition to helping foster our membership program, this position will play a key role in the strategic planning and growth of a small organization with a focus on fundraising efforts, reporting to the Executive Director. This role will be the primary contact for: individual giving, grants, corporate partnerships, and public funding and events.



  • Works to ensure excellent donor systems, communication and accurate record keeping.
  • Manages Aspen Film’s Membership program:
    • Seasonal solicitations & mailings
    • Renewals
    • Recognition outreach (digital and print)
    • Processing payments
    • Updating database & newsletter subscription list
    • Coordinating volunteers to execute mailings and any gift bag assembly
    • Providing ad hoc reporting on membership and campaign performance
    • Analyzing performance and member cohort data to help develop new marketing strategies
    • Pushing new membership features and tests forward
  • Assists with basic donor relations above and beyond Membership


Daily Tasks

  • Assist members with renewing memberships and membership details as it pertains to festivals
  • Maintain meticulous member records by tracking membership, payment information and member communication and reporting
  • Coordinate all mail campaigns, emails and fundraising efforts
  • Assist with grant writing efforts
  • Research, organize and track all grants
  • Attend weekly internal and festival meetings
  • Maintain attendance and communication for special events
  • Create and execute donor gift certificates
  • Update all membership information across member-communication platforms 



  • 3-5 years non-profit &/or development experience 
  • Stellar proficiency in Office Suite
  • Experience using CRM software; Salesforce preferred, or comparable database
  • Comfortable handling confidential information
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proven track record organizing systems and overseeing multiple projects on deadline
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter, planning ahead and anticipating the on-going needs of the organization
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and projects without senior oversight
  • Ability to analyze and use data in crafting fundraising strategies
  • Must be Pitkin County-based or able to self-relocate
